Mark Pretty has been in today, resetting the black and red circuits. 30 new problems to try! All feedback welcome
We're nearly finished on both the upstairs kids area and the new bouldering cave. The cave will be big enough to provide roof problems with no possibility of touching the side walls, so look out for some Parisellas -style problems to come!
It will also be an enclosed area, easy to heat for winter.
The newly-created chimney on the toprope wall is now open! There are currently two routes- an easier red and tricky green route- grades to be finalised!
Well done to Lauren, Millie and Spencer who represented the Midlands in the national final at Ratho this weekend. they finished 9th, 13th and 29th in their respective categories.

Well done to both Millie Home and Lauren Barnett, who won their age categories in round one of the Midlands YCS. It was a particularly good effort by Lauren, as this was her first ever competition.

Well done to Millie, who was frst in her category in the Midlands region. Also to Abigail, who was 3rd in the Welsh Final. Both now go on to reperesent their respective regions in the UK final in June.
We've added a few new problems- mainly green and black- to the current circuits, so there is even more to go at. Let us know what you think of them.
A very nice ring has been handed in- let us know if it's yours! Someone will be very upset to have lost this.
Chris Plant and Mark Pretty are resetting the harder circuits on the 31st January, so by 4pm everything should be ready to try. In the meantime we'll change the easier circuits (upto/inc. red) and put some new stuff up, so something for everyone.
Josh has taken over our facebook page (he's the only one who really understands facebook!) so if you want to find out what's going on, comment on the circuits, or anything else, just click on the link on our homepage.
We've installed the first of our two beastmaker fingerboards- the ssecond one will be put in very shortly.
Alongside the Moon Board, we now have some serious training potential for hardcore boulderers!
Seeing as how everyone might be too hungover or busy with office parties next week, we are having a christmas bash this Thursday evening. Mince Pies, Mulled wine, pre-christmas gear sale! All welcome!
Red circuit- V2-V4/5- we've added a few more, so it's a complete circuit now (although there's room for some more)
Blue circuit- V0-V1- partly up, to be finished in the next day or so
Blue/white stamina loop- 30 degree wall- goes at about Fr 7a (sport grade)
the first of the new circuits is nearly complete. Thje red circuits weighs in at around V2-V4, similar to the last red circuit. As the sloper problems ahve proved so popular (and tendon-friendly!) we've included a few more of these, along with some pinch problems, kneebars etc......
Jamie Cassidy and Chris Plant have just finished the new reset- loads of new problems to go at, and they're proving popular!
4 new circuits:
We've had a bit of a gap between the easiest circuit and the next level up, which we have now filled with the new Green circuit. Between V1- V2 (F4- 5+), and they're proving popular as a stepping stone to the higher grade circuits.
We are now stocking Climb On! bars- large and small size. If you haven't tried this stuff before, it's brilliant on skin trashed by climbing. We have some sample bars for you to try out as well.
We've been busy adding more circuits:
A hard (font 7a and harder) white circuit courtesy of Robin
A blue/white traverse- Fr (sport) 6c
Orange stamina loop on 30 degree wall- this compliments the existing blue stamina loop, and is a bit harder at c. Fr 6c+ for 1 loop
A small bright orange circuit font 6a+- 6b+
We've just added a couple of new circuits-
Blue- a bit harder than the previous blue circuit- font 5- 6b
Yellow-pink- an easier circuit up to font 4
We've also linked a couple of the 30 degree wall blues to create a really good Fr 6c ish stamina loop!

It's hard to imagine in this weather, but people are already thinking about preparing for the winter bouldering season. Feel free to come along and join in ( over 16s only- risk of injury for younger climbers)- lots of new problems in the book, as well as the existing moon schoolroom downloads
Well done to local boulderer Steph Shepherd, who was competing in the British Bouldering Championships in Sheffield at the weekend. Steph finished 12th amongst very strong competition.
