We run a series of outdoor courses throughout the year. These range from first time on real rock to advanced rope techniques, multi-pitch climbing and Welsh Classics.
Our most popular course by far is the Introduction to outside climbing course.
On the course, we look at : belaying a leader; finding the route; anchors and belays. The emphasis is on getting as much climbing done as possible and leaving you feeling more confident about operating under your own steam in future.
We keep this as flexible as possible to allow for the weather, and for the wishes and geographical convenience of the participants. Fortunately, we are close to some great climbing, and locations we use include:
Clwyd Limestone (Llangollen)
Nesscliffe (bouldering mainly)
Further afield, North Wales and the Peak District are accessible for day trips, opening up the possibility of some doing some of Britain's best routes.
The next dates for our outdoor courses are:
VIDEO of a recent day out at Castell Helen, Anglesey- introduction to Multi-pitch (there is easier stuff here too!)
We will be running our normal programme of days out- either 1:1 or let us know if you want to share and keep the cost down . Days can be scheduled to suit you.
To keep prices down, you can join in on any of the above dates by contacting us and booking.
Cost for one day course is:
£75 per person (2 participants)
£50 per person (3 participants)
£40 per person (4 or more participants)
Individual guiding and tuition
As a qualified member of the Association of Mountain Instructors, we can run climbing courses for individuals and private groups at any time, throughout the UK . Just contact us to discuss what you would like and we will try to arrange something to suit. For example, in August, we are climbing the Old Man of Hoy (currently only 2 places left).
The cost for private instruction is around £150 per day; we can give a clear price once we know your exact requirements.
